DGP Nalin Prabhat Reviews Security, Operational Preparedness Across Kashmir

Srinagar, September 24: Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat, along with Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, reviewed the security situation and operational preparedness across the Kashmir Valley during a comprehensive meeting with senior officers representing various districts and police ranges. The meeting focused on the prevailing security situation, law and order, crime control, operational preparedness and policing measures being undertaken across different districts and ranges. The senior police leadership took stock of ongoing security operations and assessed the preparedness of field formations to respond effectively to emerging challenges. DGP Nalin Prabhat stressed the importance of close coordination among different police units and field formations, effective intelligence gathering and timely action against activities that could affect peace and security in the region. Officers from various districts and ranges briefed the senior leadership on the prevailing situation in their respective jurisdictions and apprised them of the operational measures being implemented at the ground level. The meeting also reviewed measures to strengthen field-level policing, improve inter-district coordination and enhance operational readiness. The officers were directed to maintain close supervision of field operations and ensure a coordinated response to security-related challenges. The senior officers were further directed to remain focused on maintaining peace, security and public safety across the Kashmir Valley.
