JAMMU, January 22: As part of the observance of National Voters’ Day (NVD), Director Information and Public Relations, Nitish Rajora, today administered the NVD pledge to officers and officials of the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) at the Media Complex here.
On the occasion, the Director, along with officers and staff of DIPR, read out the pledge, reaffirming their commitment to the democratic values enshrined in the Constitution of India. The pledge underscored the resolve to uphold democratic principles, exercise electoral rights responsibly, and encourage wider participation in the electoral process.
Addressing the gathering, the Director highlighted the significance of this year’s NVD theme, “My India, My Vote,” stating that it reflects the strengthening of democratic institutions and promotes awareness about the importance of informed and ethical voting.
Emphasizing the role of DIPR in the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) activities of the Election Department, he urged DIPR personnel to actively contribute towards spreading voter awareness and promoting inclusive participation in elections.
