Lieutenant Governor attends Silver Jubilee celebrations of Shri Baba Kashi Vishwanath Seva Samiti in Varanasi

Jammu, January 23, 2026:
Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha on Friday attended the Silver Jubilee commemorative function of Shri Baba Kashi Vishwanath Seva Samiti at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, and lauded the organisation for its 25 years of dedicated and selfless service.
Addressing the gathering, the Lieutenant Governor said that genuine faith finds expression through selfless service, while true devotion is reflected in compassion and empathy. He praised the Samiti for consistently translating spiritual values into meaningful action over the past two and a half decades.
Highlighting the Samiti’s role during the annual Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, Shri Manoj Sinha said that by serving pilgrims at the Chandanwari Base Camp, the organisation has effectively bridged faith with action and set a strong social example of service without expectation.
“For the past 25 years, Shri Baba Kashi Vishwanath Seva Samiti has stood as a living embodiment of the principle that true faith manifests itself through selfless service,” the Lieutenant Governor said.
He observed that in today’s times, spiritual consciousness provides balance through compassion and sensitivity towards others. According to him, spiritual prosperity nurtures value-based citizens, which in turn lays the foundation of a strong society and a resilient nation.
Referring to the challenging conditions under which the Samiti’s volunteers serve, the Lieutenant Governor said that rendering service to devotees of Baba Barfani amid high altitudes, harsh weather and physical hardships is not merely organisational work but a form of spiritual discipline.
He noted that the volunteers at Chandanwari are breaking barriers and fostering bonds rooted in human compassion, adding that every act of help extended without being asked strengthens the spiritual fabric of the nation.
The Lieutenant Governor congratulated Shri Dilip Singh, President of Shri Baba Kashi Vishwanath Seva Samiti, along with all office bearers and volunteers, for embracing service as a way of life.

Calling for collective responsibility, Shri Manoj Sinha urged people to integrate service into their daily lives, convert spiritual beliefs into concrete actions, and work together to build a society founded on kindness, mutual support and peaceful coexistence.
