Srinagar, March 15, ANB: Passenger vehicles are plying smoothly from both sides on Jammu Srinagar highway .

Commuters are advised to follow lane discipline, overtaking will cause congestion. Passengers are advised to undertake journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW during day time and avoid unnecessary haltage between Ramban and Banihal as there is apprehension of landslide/shooting stones. However, SSG road/Bhaderwah-Chamba Road/Mughal road/ Sinthan road are still closed.
Plains of Kupwara district are also experiencing rainfall, with higher reaches of kupwara district including Sadna pass, Farkyan Top and Z Gali of Machil, Kamkadee, Bungas, Budhnumbal, and Jumgund are receiving snowfall. Around 1 foot of fresh snowfall has accumulated at high altitude areas.
All border roads including Chowkibal-Tangdar, Keran and Machil roads are closed for vehicular movement.
Plains of Kupwara are experiencing rainfall, with higher reaches Sadna pass, Farkyan Top and Z Gali of Machil, Kamkadee, Bungas, Budhnumbal, and Jumgund also receiving light snowfall.
Chowkibal-Tangdar, road is open for vehicular movement but to
prevent accidents on slippery road, vehicles those with anti-skid chains shall be allowed by adminstration to ply on Chowkibal Tangdar road.
Whileas Keran and Machil roads are closed for vehicular movement.
Snowfall continues in the upper reaches and Gurez Valley, while heavy rainfall persists in the plains of District Bandipora.
The Bandipora-Gurez road remains closed for vehicular traffic.
All schools in Bandipora district will remain closed today also. ANB
