Jammu, July 1, ANB; Several parts of Jammu & Kashmir experienced warm to hot weather today, with temperatures soaring above 30°C in many areas. In the Kashmir Valley, Kupwara recorded the highest temperature at 34.7°C, followed closely by Srinagar at 34.2°C. Qazigund and Kukernag reported 32.6°C and 32.4°C respectively, while Pahalgam remained relatively cooler at 30.0°C. Gulmarg, known for its alpine climate, registered a pleasant 24.5°C. In the Jammu region, Bhaderwah topped the list with 31.8°C, while Banihal and Jammu city recorded 29.6°C and 29.0°C respectively. Batote settled at 27.5°C and Katra remained mild at 26.0°C. In the Union Territory of Ladakh, Kargil reported a high of 32.2°C, and Leh followed closely at 28.9°C, marking a notably warm day for the high-altitude region.
