Srinagar, Aug 25: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on today addressed the Convocation of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University in Muzaffarpur, where Bihar Governor Arif Mohammed Khan presided over the ceremony.
Extending his greetings to the university management, faculty, staff and graduating students, Sinha urged the youth to embrace a positive mindset and cultivate courage to achieve greater heights. He said these qualities enable young people to overcome challenges, seize opportunities and contribute meaningfully to nation-building.
“Life is a continuous journey of learning. Convocation is not an end but a new beginning, one that equips you with different skills through professional experience,” he remarked.
The Lieutenant Governor underlined that challenges are vital in shaping character, integrity and honesty. He stressed that India’s culture celebrates discovery and innovation, urging graduates to carry forward the same spirit of curiosity and creativity that they nurtured in classrooms.
Paying tribute to Bihar’s luminaries, reformers and revolutionaries, Sinha said the state is regaining its intellectual and cultural glory. “A modern, strong and progressive Bihar will make a significant contribution to Viksit Bharat. The youth must pledge to make Bihar and India number one,” he asserted.
Highlighting India’s strides towards self-reliance and innovation, he said the country is poised to emerge as a global economic power.
Congratulating women achievers who received gold medals, Sinha said their success reflects the growing strength of Nari Shakti. “Our daughters are breaking barriers and excelling in every field. This is a proud moment for the university, for Bihar and the entire nation,” he added.
The event was attended by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Chandra Rai, Registrar Prof. Samir Kumar Sharma, heads of departments, faculty, staff and students.
