Jammu, March 28, 2026: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday graced the ‘Big Impact Awards J&K 2026’ held in Jammu and called upon entrepreneurs and distinguished personalities to strengthen key sectors of the Union Territory through innovation and inclusive growth.
Addressing the gathering, the Lieutenant Governor underscored that transformative changes in India’s industrial and business ecosystem are the result of sustained reforms and the resilience of entrepreneurs. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for fostering an enabling environment that is driving India’s transition from a consumer-driven economy to a creator-led innovation hub.
He remarked that India today stands as a global innovation force, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of the world economy. Highlighting the contribution of Jammu and Kashmir’s business community, he said local entrepreneurs have demonstrated exceptional ability in converting challenges into opportunities, expanding production capacities, and exploring new markets despite constraints such as raw material shortages.
Emphasizing the essence of entrepreneurship, the Lieutenant Governor noted that true innovation is rooted in perseverance and the ability to navigate adversity. He commended awardees for not only achieving business success but also setting societal benchmarks through their efforts during challenging times.
Referring to developments in the education sector, he observed that the post-NEP and post-COVID era has ushered in a transformative phase, marked by rapid digital adoption and the creation of virtual learning ecosystems. He added that stakeholders collectively ensured continuity in education by building platforms, training educators, and extending technological access to remote areas.
The Lieutenant Governor further highlighted that the integration of technology, innovation under the National Education Policy, and a growing focus on research are steering India towards becoming a knowledge-based economy. He stressed the need for sustained commitment to nation-building amid rapid technological changes.
During the समारोह, he felicitated distinguished awardees and urged them to continue contributing with purpose towards building a stronger and more prosperous nation. He also suggested the inclusion of the farming community in future editions of the awards to recognize their vital contribution to the region’s economy.
Additionally, he called upon media platforms to actively support awareness initiatives under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.
The event, organised by 92.7 Big FM, was attended by senior officials, media representatives, and prominent citizens from various fields.
