The meeting further reviewed preparedness of various departments for an upcoming intensive drug awareness campaign across the Union Territory.
Emphasising a collective approach, the Lieutenant Governor said that religious leaders, social organisations, ex-servicemen, NCC, NSS, Scouts and Guides, and political representatives must be actively involved in the anti-drug movement.
He also called for an assessment of activities carried out under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan over the past year.
Discussions were also held on onboarding all districts onto the Nasha Mukt J&K Portal, appointment of nodal officers, community outreach programmes, capacity building initiatives, strengthening de-addiction infrastructure, operationalisation of treatment facilities, and implementation of standard operating procedures by concerned departments.
