Kathua, June 8: ANB; Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday highlighted the transformational pace of infrastructure development in Jammu & Kashmir, asserting that the Union Territory is on track to become the principal market of North India, a vibrant manufacturing hub, and a competitive provider of services.
Addressing a gathering during the foundation stone laying ceremony of Dhunseri Polyfilm Ltd’s new industrial unit at Dohlian Jattan village in Kathua, LG Sinha emphasized the key role of a young and skilled workforce in driving the region’s future economic growth.
“This new industrial unit is not just a milestone for Kathua but a symbol of the new economic vision for J&K. It will generate thousands of job opportunities for local youth, stimulate economic upliftment in the surrounding rural areas, and attract massive business investment,” LG Sinha said.
He added that the ongoing wave of industrialization and connectivity is laying the foundation for sustainable growth, helping J&K emerge as a significant contributor to the national economy.
The project is expected to provide a major boost to local industries and entrepreneurs, paving the way for a self-reliant and prosperous Jammu & Kashmir.
