Visakhapatnam, June 21, ANB (IDY 2025): Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the nation in celebrating the 11th International Day of Yoga today by performing yoga alongside more than three lakh participants at a grand event held in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
Amidst a sea of yoga enthusiasts gathered along the picturesque coastline of the city, the Prime Minister emphasised the importance of integrating yoga into daily life for holistic well-being. "Yoga is India’s timeless gift to humanity. It unites body, mind, and soul, and today it is a global movement for health and harmony," said PM Modi, addressing the massive gathering. According to the Associated News Bureau (ANB), the event witnessed participation from people across all walks of life — students, armed forces personnel, health workers, and senior citizens — making it one of the largest mass yoga demonstrations ever held.
This year’s theme, "Yoga for Self and Society," highlighted yoga’s role not just in individual transformation but in building a healthier, more peaceful world.
