In a major counter-terrorism operation aimed at crippling the underground terror network in Jammu province, the State Investigation Agency (SIA) of Jammu and Kashmir Police launched simultaneous raids at 18 locations across four districts, resulting in the seizure of significant incriminating material.
The high-stakes operation, meticulously coordinated and executed by specialized SIA teams with support from local police units and executive magistrates, marks a critical step in the agency’s broader strategy to dismantle sleeper cells and disrupt terror support structures in the region.
According to official sources, 12 of the targeted sites were located in the Surankote subdivision, while three others were in the Haveli tehsil of Poonch district. Additional raids were carried out in Rajouri town (Rajouri district), Ramnagar (Udhampur district), and Ramban district.
Authorities have confirmed the recovery of a substantial cache of incriminating materials during the searches. All seized items have been secured in accordance with legal protocols and are currently under detailed forensic and investigative examination.
Several individuals linked to the recovered evidence have been summoned for questioning and are expected to join the ongoing investigation at the SIA headquarters in Jammu.
