Srinagar, December 24, 2025:In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, Srinagar Police has attached properties worth approximately Rs 3 crores belonging to a notorious drug peddler, as part of its sustained efforts to eradicate the narcotics menace and dismantle the financial infrastructure supporting the illegal drug trade.
The attached assets include a double-storeyed residential house, a double-storeyed shopping complex, and land measuring 1 kanal and 4 marlas. The properties belong to Ajaz Ahmad Mir, son of Late Ali Ahmad, a resident of Palpora, Noorbagh.
The accused is involved in FIR No. 201/2022 registered under Sections 8/21 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Safakadal. During the course of investigation, it was established that the properties had been acquired through illicit proceeds generated from drug trafficking activities.
Accordingly, the properties were attached under the provisions of Section 68-F of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The attachment proceedings were conducted in the presence of an Executive Magistrate and in strict compliance with prescribed legal procedures.
As per the attachment order, the owner has been restrained from selling, leasing, transferring, altering, or creating any third-party interest in the said properties until further orders.
