Jammu, July 16:
The Director General of Police (DGP), Jammu and Kashmir, today felicitated the Akhnoor Police Station for being conferred with the prestigious Award of Excellence by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). The recognition highlights the police station's outstanding service and performance in the year 2024.
During the ceremony, the DGP lauded the exemplary leadership and dedication of the then Station House Officer (SHO) Tariq Ahmed, SDPO Mohan Sharma, and SP Brijesh Sharma, acknowledging their significant contributions that led to the national recognition.
The DGP also extended his best wishes to the current SHO Sanjeev Chib and SDPO Varinder Gupta, encouraging them to uphold and further the legacy of excellence established by their predecessors.
This accolade from the MHA marks a proud moment for Jammu & Kashmir Police and underscores Akhnoor Police Station’s commitment to public service, law enforcement, and community engagement.
