Jammu, [Date] — Director General of Police, J&K, Shri Nalin Prabhat, IPS, chaired an interaction session with Village Defence Group (VDG) members of R S Pura and Arnia sectors, stressing strict implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), heightened vigilance and enhanced coordination along the border belt.
The DGP acknowledged the significant role of VDGs in supporting border security, intelligence gathering and field operations. He assured the members of full departmental support, timely grievance redressal and closer engagement to strengthen community participation in frontline security management.
Earlier, DGP Nalin Prabhat inspected Border Police Post (BPP) Chakrohi and Police Station R S Pura, where he reviewed overall functioning, CCTNS performance, maintenance of records and manpower requirements. During the visit, he issued directions for effective SOP implementation, further strengthening of security grids, timely completion of ARC works and improvement in documentation standards.
Senior police officers accompanied the DGP during the visit.
