Jammu, Feb 21: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday administered the oath of office to Shri Shantmanu as the State Election Commissioner of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir at a formal ceremony held at Lok Bhavan.
With the administration of the oath, Shantmanu formally assumed charge as the State Election Commissioner.
The ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary, Legislative Assembly Speaker Abdur Rahim Rather, members of the Council of Ministers, the Chief Secretary, and the Director General of Police, along with other senior officials and dignitaries.
