LG Sinha Urges Youth to Reject Radicalisation, Champion Unity at National School Games Closing Ceremony

Jammu, November 25, 2025: Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha on Tuesday called upon the youth of Jammu and Kashmir to stand firmly against organisations and individuals involved in radicalisation in the Valley. He made these remarks while addressing the closing ceremony of the 69th National School Games–2025, organised by the Department of Youth Services & Sports and the School Games Federation of India (SGFI) in Jammu.

Emphasising the transformative role of young citizens, the Lieutenant Governor urged them to nurture the spirit of oneness and work toward building a world free from discrimination. He said the future of the country rests in the hands of young athletes, who serve as “architects of the nation’s destiny” and ambassadors of national unity.

“Youthful energy aligned with national goals brings dynamism to society. Dream big and have the courage to make those dreams come true,” the LG told the gathering, encouraging young sportspersons to embrace their role as inspirational role models for the next generation. He stressed that their influence must extend beyond the sports field to drive progressive policies and social transformation.

LG Sinha congratulated all winners and participants of the National School Games and commended team officials, coaches, and organisers for the successful conduct of the event. He presented trophies to the top-performing teams and athletes, and also released a Compendium of the Department of Youth Services and Sports.

The 69th edition of the Games featured four competitive disciplines—Football, Wushu, Taekwondo, and Table Tennis—and witnessed enthusiastic participation from athletes representing 34 States and Union Territories.

The ceremony was attended by Ms. Yasha Mudgal, Commissioner/Secretary, Youth Services and Sports; Ms. Anuradha Gupta, Director General Youth Services and Sports; senior officials, sports personalities, and a large number of youth.
