The Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday issued Government Order No. 665-JK (Edu) of 2025, announcing the winter vacation schedule for all Government and recognized Private Schools up to the Higher Secondary level in the Kashmir Division and winter zone(s) of the Jammu Division.
According to the Education Department, winter vacations will be observed as per the following timeline:

Additional Directions
The government has issued further instructions to ensure smooth academic functioning:
All teaching faculty shall remain available for any academic activity assigned during the vacation period.
Teaching staff must report back to their respective institutions on 20 February 2026 to make necessary arrangements for reopening of schools.
Strict action will be taken under rules against any Head of Institution or teaching staff found violating the schedule.
