Srinagar, 12 December 2025 — Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha met the families of the martyrs of the accidental blast in Nowgam and handed over appointment letters on compassionate grounds.
During the interaction, the Lieutenant Governor paid homage to the martyrs and expressed his solidarity with their families, stating that the nation stands firmly with them to ensure a life of dignity and security.
LG Sinha commended the J&K Police for their recent success in dismantling a terror network, noting that the force has earned nationwide appreciation for halting terrorist activities through precise investigation and operational efficiency. He praised the multi-layered efforts of the police in detecting, disrupting, and preventing terror-related plots.
The Lieutenant Governor also instructed senior officials to intensify measures against terror financing and to counter attempts at radicalisation by separatist elements.
The meeting was attended by senior officers from the Police and Civil Administration, including Special DG Coordination PHQ S.J.M. Gillani, Principal Secretary Home Chandraker Bharti, ADGP CID Nitish Kumar, Principal Secretary to the LG Dr. Mandeep K. Bhandari, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Anshul Garg, IGP Kashmir VK Birdi, DIG CKR Rajiv Pandey, SSP Srinagar Dr. GV Sundeep Chakravarthy, and Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Akshay Labroo.
