CBI Busts Pan-India Banking Recruitment Impersonation Racket

NEW DELHI, OCTOBER 8: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has busted an alleged impersonation and cheating racket operating across Delhi, Bihar, Haryana and West Bengal, arresting four persons, including a CGST Inspector. The action followed an FIR registered on the basis of a complaint filed by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS). The CBI’s Special Task Branch, Mumbai, conducted coordinated raids at multiple locations across the four states and arrested the four accused. According to the CBI, the accused allegedly infiltrated various stages of banking recruitment examinations, including written tests and interviews, by appearing in place of genuine candidates. The agency said the alleged impersonation scheme compromised the integrity of public recruitment examinations and deprived deserving candidates of fair opportunities. The CBI has initiated further investigation to identify other persons allegedly involved in the racket. The investigation is currently underway. ANB
