Budgam, December 04: In a major push to strengthen civic infrastructure and connectivity in Budgam district, Chief Minister today inaugurated and laid the e-foundation stones for key development projects worth nearly ₹100 crore.
The projects include multiple Water Supply Schemes under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) at Gudsathoo, Dreygam, Drang, Kultreh Wanpora, Qazipora, Awanpora, Rangreth Wavoosa, Checkmari Colony, Nowbugh, Delipora Badipora, and Zaloosa, aimed at providing reliable and safe drinking water to local communities.
In addition, the Chief Minister inaugurated a Multi-Level Car Parking facility, marking a significant step in urban infrastructure development. Upgradation work on the Kadalbal–Lasjan Road was also launched, enhancing regional connectivity and improving commuter convenience.
The foundation stone was laid for the construction of a 2×35 meter Steel Truss Bridge on Nallah Sukhnag at Beerwah, a project expected to strengthen local transport networks and facilitate smoother movement of people and goods.
Officials said these initiatives are part of the government’s broader strategy to improve public utilities, road infrastructure, and urban facilities, reinforcing Budgam’s development trajectory. The Chief Minister emphasized that these projects will not only boost civic amenities but also generate local employment and contribute to sustainable growth in the district.
With the inauguration and foundation laying of these projects, Budgam is set to witness enhanced infrastructure, better connectivity, and improved quality of life for its residents.
