LG Sinha Greets Air Warriors on Air Force Day, Hails Their Courage and Service

Srinagar, October 8: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday extended greetings to the personnel of the Indian Air Force (IAF) and their families on the occasion of Indian Air Force Day, commending their courage, dedication and service to the nation. In a message shared on social media, the Lieutenant Governor lauded the Air Warriors for safeguarding the country’s airspace and responding to challenges during both peace and times of crisis. “On Air Force Day, greetings to all IAF personnel and their families. IAF epitomises valour, dedication and excellence. From safeguarding our skies to humanitarian assistance, our Air Warriors always rise to every challenge with courage. Nation is proud of their glorious legacy,” Sinha said. The Lieutenant Governor also highlighted the distinguished legacy of the Indian Air Force and its contribution to national security, disaster response and humanitarian assistance operations. Indian Air Force Day is observed annually on October 8 to commemorate the establishment of the IAF in 1932. The occasion honours the valour, professionalism, dedication and sacrifices of the men and women serving in the force. Over the decades, the Indian Air Force has played a vital role in the defence of the country while also extending assistance to civilians during natural disasters and other emergencies.
