Lieutenant Governor Engages with Senior Officers Attending NDC Course

Srinagar, 24th September 2025: Lieutenant Governor, Shri Manoj Sinha, interacted with a delegation of senior officers from the Indian Armed Forces, Civil Services, and friendly foreign countries currently attending the National Defence College (NDC) course.

Addressing the officers, the Lieutenant Governor highlighted India’s strategic posture under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He referred to Operation Sindoor as one of India’s boldest military responses in recent history, emphasizing the blend of strategic restraint and assertive action that has set a new benchmark against terrorism.

He stated, “Any future terrorist attack on India will be treated as an act of war, and a fitting response will be delivered. India has also made it clear that nuclear blackmail will not be tolerated, and precise, decisive action will be taken against terrorist hideouts.”

On the development of border areas in Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Sinha said that the Prime Minister’s vision treats villages in forward areas as the “first village” rather than the last, underscoring their strategic importance as the nation’s first line of defence.

He added, “We have adopted a strategic approach balancing economic growth, security, and socio-cultural integration in these areas. Robust connectivity has been established to boost trade and tourism, while regions deprived of electricity since 1947 are now connected to the grid and provided with internet, significantly improving the quality of life.”

Concluding his remarks, the Lieutenant Governor reaffirmed India’s commitment to global harmony, citing the ancient mantra, “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – the world is one family”, as a guiding principle for universal brotherhood and global unity.
